1. Install Helium upon Android
a) rooted user? You’re done!
2. Install and run Helium Desktop (link below)
3. Connect android-os to computer.
a) You may need to set your USB Connection Mode to “PTP”. (Nexus 7, Nexus 10, etc)
4. Helium upon android-os should now be enabled.

b>Note: Some Sony devices have issues together Helium. This includes the Xperia S and Xperia Z.

Due to changes in the android-os 5.0+ security model,
Helium is not able to use rooted to initiate a backup or restore.
Helium must be activated using the Helium desktop application.
This is now noted upon startup upon android-os 5.0 devices.
